Synthesis of a new liquid urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizer and its effect on yield of Chinese cabbage,eggplant and tomato

Abstract: A new type of liquid urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizer is synthesized, and its effect is evaluated on Chinese cabbage, eggplant and tomato.Results indicate that the new liquid urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizer can significantly increase the yield of Chinese cabbage, eggplant and tomato, and improve the plant height, fruit weight and other agronomic traits.The new liquid urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizer can increase the total yield and single head weight of Chinese cabbage by 10.66%, increase the yield and average plant height of eggplant by 25.93% and 6.85 cm.respectively, and the yield and plant height of tomato by 40.70% and 11.88 cm, respectively.Moreover, the use of urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizer can reduce the number of fertilization and improve the utilization rate of fertilizer.
