Abstract: A kind of copper cladded iron powder catalyst is prepared by single displacement reaction method and then is characterized by SEM,XRD and ICP.Effects of pH,catalyst dosage, reaction time and coagulation-precipitation on the COD removal efficiency are experimentally studied in the waste cutting fluid treatment via Fenton-like reaction catalyzed by copper cladded iron powder. The results indicate that the optimal treatment effect via Fenton-like reaction catalyzed by copper cladded iron powder will be achieved when the demulsification water of waste cutting fluid water has an initial pH of 3,catalyst dosage is 4.228 g·L-1,dosage of hydrogen peroxide is 193 mL·L-1 and reaction time is 3 h.The COD removal rate of waste cutting fluid can reach 96.7% when the pH of waste cutting fluid after Fenton-like reaction is adjusted back to 10 and 10 g·L-1 PAC is added for coagulation and flocculation. The loading of copper on iron-based Fenton catalyst can improve its catalytic activity significantly.
