Abstract: Several preparation methods for graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) with high specific surface area are introduced,such as template method,precursor pretreatment method and controlling morphology method.The applications of g-C3N4 with high specific surface area in hydrogen production via photocatalysis are summarized.Finally,the ongoing challenges and opportunities for development of g-C3N4 are prospected.
