Abstract: The liquid nitrogen washing process in a certain plant has been reformed with feeding at normal temperature to break through the limitation of feed gas from low temperature methanol washing.Three improvement schemes are put forward,namely,reducing the number of plate fin heat exchangers (scheme Ⅰ and Ⅱ) and adding methane recovery unit (scheme Ⅲ),so as to achieve the purpose of uncoupling with methanol washing process,saving equipment cost and improving economic benefits.Aspen Plus software and Aspen Process Economic Analyzer software are utilized to simulate and optimize the process.The results show that the normal temperature feeding-liquid nitrogen washing process and its improved schemes all meet the process requirements.The cost can be saved by 45.78% in scheme Ⅰ,and methane can be recovered by 99.16% in scheme Ⅲ.It gives the direction for the application of normal temperature feeding-liquid nitrogen washing process in actual production,and provides theoretical guidance for optimizing process design,saving equipment cost and improving economic benefits.
