Abstract: In order to improve the performance of alkyd resin,the emulsion that can dry fast,has a high hardness and contains low VOCs is prepared,and used to make acrylic modified alkyd resin by phase inversion method.The influences of process conditions such as emulsification temperature,alkali dosage and shear rate on the stability and coating film performance of the emulsion are studied.It is shown that the prepared acrylic modified alkyd resin emulsion has a good stability,and can form the coating film with better drying and water resistance performance when the adding amount of N—N dimethylformamide is 5.3 g per 400 g of resin,the mass fraction of emulsifier is 6%,emulsifying temperature is at 85℃ and shear rate is in the range of 5 000-7 000 rpm.
