The development and application of schlieren technology are briefly described,and the progress on key focusing schlieren technologies is introduced.The principle,development and application of focusing schlieren technology are expounded,and its important roles in experimental fluid mechanics,aerodynamics and other scientific fields are displayed.The advantages and disadvantages of focusing schlieren technology in science and technology are summarized,and the development directions in the future are suggested.Through systematically reviewing the development history,principle,application and latest progress of schlieren technology,it is expected to provide valuable guidance and enlightenment for specific research in related fields.
