MoS2 and NixSy catalysts are synthesized through a hydrothermal method, and used to make NixSy/MoS2 catalyst via mechanical mixing method.Hydrodeoxygenation of dibenzofuran,a representative model compound found in coal tar,is conducted over NixSy/MoS2 catalyst to evaluate the catalytic performance. The catalysts’ structure, surface properties, and active sites are characterized by means of XRD,XPS,H2-TPD,O2-TPD,DMP-FT-IR,and NO-pulses techniques. The reaction performance of three kinds of catalysts prepared is assessed under conditions of 320℃ and 6 MPa by using a high-pressure autoclave. Results demonstrate that the reaction rate of dibenzofuran over NixSy/MoS2 catalyst is 2.4 times that over MoS2 catalyst, leading to an enhancement in cyclohexane yield from 8.3% to 77.0%.These findings highlight the effective augmentation of MoS2 reactivity through mechanical mixing facilitated by NixSy.
