China's policies have always encouraged the acrylic resin industry to develop towards high technology.Chinese investors are enthusiastic about investment in acrylic resin industry despite of an existed large capacity.Therefore,it is important to identify major competitors in the market,benchmark their patent layout directions,analyze key patents in the industry,and grasp the hot research and development directions of acrylic synthesis technology.This paper analyzes the patent navigation analysis upon acrylic acid synthesis technology from the perspectives of patent application trends,technology development cycles,geographical distribution,patent applicants,technical composition,and technology branch application trends.SPSS software is used to predict the development trend of acrylic acid synthesis technology.Hence the overall development trend of the acrylic acid production industry is fully understood.It is suggested that the corresponding companies should build a peripheral patent network around basic patents,determine the research and development direction according to research and development hotspots,and consider the acrylic acid synthesis and conversion technology into financial tools to help the companies themselves to develop.
