摘要
以甲基丙烯酸甲酯(MMA)、丙烯酸丁酯(BA)和丙烯酸(AA)为主要单体,采用半连续种子乳液聚合法并通过加入适量有机硅A-174制备了具有软核硬壳结构的核壳乳液。研究了有机硅A-174质量分数和加入方式对乳液聚合和膜性能的影响,采用傅里叶变换红外光谱(FT-IR)、粒度分析、热重分析(TGA)、差式扫描量热(DSC)、原子力显微镜(AFM)、光学接触角测量仪等分析手段对乳液及涂膜进行表征。结果表明,当有机硅A-174质量分数为4%且与30%的壳单体预乳化后加入时,得到乳胶粒平均粒径为97.8 nm、转化率为93%、凝胶率为0.8%的有机硅改性核壳丙烯酸酯乳液,此时涂膜的综合性能最佳,吸水率为10.5%,水接触角为72.6°,质量损失50%时的热分解温度为407.7℃。
Abstract
Polyacrylate emulsion with soft core and hard shell structure is synthesized by semi-batch seeded emulsion polymerization method with methyl methacrylate,butyl acrylate and acrylic acid as main monomers,and adding appropriate amount of silane A-174 in the process of polymerization.The effect of the content and adding mode of silane on the emulsion polymerization and film performance are studied.The emulsion and its coating films are characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR),particle size analyzer,thermogravimetric analysis (TGA),differential scanning calorimeter (DSC),atomic force microscope (AFM) and optical contact angle measuring instrument.The results reveal that the silane modified core-shell acrylate emulsion obtained has an average particle size of 97.8 nm,a conversion rate of 93% and a gel rate of 0.8% when 4% silane A-174 with 30% shell monomer after pre-emulsion is dropped into the system.Meanwhile,the coating film gained from such an emulsion has the best comprehensive performance with a water absorption rate of 10.5% and a contact angle of 72.6°,and shows a mass loss of 50% at a decomposition temperature of 407.7℃.
