In this study,a novel L-cysteine-modified graphene oxide loaded gallic acid hydrogel (SA-AG-GA/GFC-GA) was synthesized via a physical crosslinking method.Sodium alginate (SA) and agarose (AG) served as the matrix materials, while gallic acid (GA) acted as the crosslinking agent.Additionally,a functionalized graphene oxide-gallic acid composite (GFC-GA) was incorporated into the hydrogel network. The hydrogel was thoroughly characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR),rheological testing, and other analytical techniques. Its mechanical properties, moisture retention capacity, and adhesive properties were also evaluated. In vitro experiments demonstrated that the hydrogel exhibited significant antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, with inhibition rates of 65.72% and 70.04%,respectively.Furthermore,the hydrogel displayed low cytotoxicity.Animal experiments further confirmed that the SA-AG-GA/GFC-GA hydrogel significantly accelerated wound healing in a full-thickness skin defect mouse model, achieving a healing rate of 94.31% at 12 days. The underlying mechanism was associated with enhanced collagen deposition, angiogenesis, and reduced inflammatory responses. This study provides novel insights for the development of multifunctional wound dressings.
