The separation of methanol/toluene and methanol/dimethyl carbonate mixtures is of critical importance in the petrochemical industry.Organosilica membranes exhibit outstanding pervaporation performance, however, the fabrication of such membranes using ceramic supports entails relatively high costs.Polymer supports present distinct advantages owing to their low cost.In this work,a BTESE/PEEK composite membrane was prepared by coating 1,2-bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane (BTESE) sol onto interfacially polymerized polyetheretherketone (PEEK).At 50℃,when separating mixtures containing 10% methanol, the membrane yields permeation fluxes of 0.71 and 0.32 kg·m-2·h-1 for methanol/toluene and methanol/dimethyl carbonate systems, respectively, with methanol concentrations in the permeate reaching 87.2% and 83.1%.
