Research on the preparation and thermal properties of carbon nanotube/graphene oxide modified melamine-urea-formaldehyde phase change microcapsules
Thermally enhanced phase change microcapsules were prepared by in-situ polymerization, using n-hexadecane as the core material and melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF) modified with carbon nanotubes (CNT) and graphene oxide (GO) as the shell material.Under the condition of a fixed total mass fraction of CNT/GO at 0.3%,the effect of different CNT/GO mass ratios on the morphology and thermal properties of the phase change microcapsules was investigated. The obtained microcapsules were characterized and analyzed by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC),thermogravimetric analysis (TGA),and a Hot Disk thermal constants analyzer. The results show that when the mass ratio of CNT to GO was 1∶2,the microcapsules exhibited a favorable morphology with smooth and plump spherical particles, and achieved the highest thermal conductivity of 0.157 4 W/(m·K),which was 91.48% higher than that of the unmodified phase change microcapsules.
