通过研究环球油品公司（UOP）在全球的专利布局、专利保护与运用情况及其重点研发领域炼化催化剂技术领域的专利保护态势，深入分析了UOP在技术创新过程中的专利保护情况。UOP通过严密的专利布局对其各项技术进行全方位的专利保护，并在此基础上合理转化、运用所拥有的相关专利，提高经济效益。其在知识产权保护下开展技术创新的发展模式对我国企业的创新发展具有重要参考意义。

This paper summarizes UOP's patents layout,patent protection and applications in the globe,and the company's patent protection status in its key research aspect-refining catalysts technology aspect.It also analyzes deeply UOP's patent protection status during the technology innovation process.UOP has always carried out all-round patent protection for its various technologies through a strict patent layout,and on this basis,has reasonably transformed and applied the relevant patents it owns to improve economic benefits.UOP's model that develops the technological innovation under intellectual property rights protection has great reference significance for China's companies to innovate and develop.
