The main synthesis methods for polyphenylenesulfide (PPS) in China and in the world are described,and the application situation of PPS in the fields of engineering plastics,fibers,coatings and film is summarized,with focus on the applications of PPS fiber products that are the highlight in recent years.Finally,global and China's supply and demand of PPS are analyzed,and some suggestions are advised for the development of PPS industry,including technical innovation,investment and marketing promotion.
