Abstract: The physicochemical properties of phenolic oil fractions in coal derived oil are analyzed and the process conditions for extracting phenolic compounds are investigated with ethylene glycol solution as extractant.The test results indicate that the optimum flow is in the range of 60-200 mL·min-1,the optimum rotation rate is between 2 000 r·min-1 and 2 400 r·min-1 and the optimum phase ratio is in the range of 0.4:1 to 0.7:1.On the basis of theoretical calculation,it is confirmed to use the process routine with two stages countercurrent extraction and two stages countercurrent stripping.Under the optimum conditions and confirmed process flow,the extraction rate of crude phenol oil is 92.61%,the recovery rate of extractant is 93.46% and the recovery rate of stripping agent is 92.10%.
