Determination of two isothizaolinone antibacterial agents in tipping paper for cigarette by d-SPE/GC-MS

Abstract: In order to determine two kinds of isothizaolinone antibacterial agents in the tipping paper for cigarette,a dispersive solid-phase extraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (d-SPE-GC/MS) method is used to determine quantitively 2-methyl-1-isothizaolin-3-one (MI) and 5-chloro-2-methyl-1-isothizaolin-3-one (CMI) in tipping paper for cigarette.With naphthalene-d8 as the internal standard,the effects of extraction agent,extraction time,eluent volume and purification ways on the determination of MI and CMI are investigated.The results show the relative standard deviations for MI and CMI are less than 3% and 10%,respectively.The recovery rates for MI and CMI are in the ranges of 96.33%-107.62% and 92.59%-102.44%,respectively.Their detection limits are 0.007 μg·mL-1 and 0.024 μg·mL-1,respectively and their quantitative limits are 0.012 μg·mL-1 and 0.039 μg·mL-1,respectively.It is verified that this method has good reproducibility and accuracy and can be used to determine the isothizaolinone content in tipping paper for cigarette.
